Oakland Baptist Church has ties with the national Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and state organization, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina. Oakland also maintains ties with the Southern Baptist Convention through work with the South Carolina Baptist Convention.

History - Oakland Has A Vision |

"Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." The writer of Proverbs 29:18, with this philosophy, could have easily served on the Building Committee of First Baptist Church in Rock Hill in the early 1940's when the vision of a mission church appeared to members. Oakland Baptist Church was born of that vision, has been sustained by a vision, and now flourishes because it has kept alive the vision that represents the very best of Baptist history: a free church in a free state rightly dividing the Word of Truth which sets all people free. |

Oakland Baptist Church is located at the intersection of Oakland Avenue, India Hook Road, and Ebenezer Road, one block from Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, SC. Take Cherry Road for 3 miles west from I-77 (exit 82B) and turn right on Oakland Avenue. The church is in view one block ahead. Parking is available in the parking lot on Ebenezer Road near the bank and also in the parking lot behind the church. Enter at the top of the circular staircase to the church office.
