Oakland offers a number of retreats in which oportunities are given for spiritual growth.  Our women have two retreats each year.  In the fall, we spend a weekend in the mountains reflecting on our relationship with God.  We also enjoy spending time with each other.  In the spring, Oakland's women travel to Myrtle Beach for the Women of the Church Conference, sponsored by Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina, North Carolina Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and national CBF.  This conference is attended by women from NC and SC.

We also offer marriage retreats each year for couples in our church.  We spend the weekend reflecting on how ways we can stregthen our marriages.
