Handbells are very active at Oakland. A fully graded handbell program is provided for Tintinnabulators. Handbell ringers begin learning to manipulate bells in the fourth grade and can ring through senior adulthood.

Our Youth and Adults groups participate in state and regional festivals and ring regularly in worship. Our Adult groups enjoy traveling and have rung at many fun places such as the White House, in Riverside Church in New York, in the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, in England and in France. Additionally, our bells were heard for many years at the SC Governor’s Annual Treelighting Ceremony at the State House in Columbia.  Currently our Adult bell choirs anchor the mass ringing at Rock Hill's Christmasville celebration in downtown Rock Hill. 

Beginning Bells is for fourth and fifth graders and meets for forty-five minutes in conjunction with our Wednesday evening program. Jubal Ringers is our middle and high school handbell group. This group plays regularly for worship. Our Carillon Ringers is an adult group that meets for ninety minutes on Tuesday morning and our Oakland Ringers is an adult group that meets sixty minutes on Sunday evenings.
