Oakland has been heavily involved in York County’s Habitat for Humanity. We have had a number of church members serve on their board of directors. We have also participated in a number of builds in Rock Hill. For more information - yorkcountyhabitat.org

• 2003 – We built a home on Rhae Street in one week. Our church provided all of the labor and finances for the house.
• 2004 – We participated in an Apostles Build with 11 other churches on Rhae Steeet.
• 2005 – We built a home on Rhae Street with Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church. Both churches split the cost of the home and split the labor.
• 2006 – We helped to renovate a home on Habitat Court.
• 2007 – We built a home in Crawford Woods with Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church.
• 2008 – We participated in an Apostles Build in Crawford Woods.
• 2009 – We plan to partner with another church to build another home in Rock Hill.
